Nightingale-Conant Corporation Nightingale-Conant Corporation was founded in 1960 by two entrepreneurs, Lloyd Conant and Earl Nightingale. Mr. Conant was an early direct mail expert and owner of his own direct mail, printing and fulfillment business. Earl Nightingale was a well-known self-improvement talk radio host for the popular Chicago radio-broadcasting network, WGN. Mr. Nightingale had also authored a self-improvement recording titled "The Strangest Secret." In 1960, Mr. Conant and Mr. Nightingale combined forces to market and distribute this recording. For the next several years, the Company successfully marketed a variety of Earl Nightingale recordings, including "Lead the Field," which became a self-improvement industry classic. It also produced and marketed "Our Changing World," the largest five-minute radio programs which at its peak was heard on 600 radio stations in the United States. Nightingale is one of the world's largest producers of audio products and programs. Its reputation is a testament to the strategy established 40 years ago to provide quality audio products and programs accompanied by excellent customer service. Nightingale currently publishes and/or distributes more than 150 authors and over 1,400 titles, representing the industry's most recognized authors, such as Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Deepak Chopra, Zig Ziglar, and Dennis Waitley. Most recently, the Company has embraced a comprehensive Internet marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and enhance sales and customer service.
