The Webshots Desktop, a free software download, manages and organizes image downloads and uploads. Over 100 million copies of the Webshots Desktop client have been downloaded to user PCs, decorating computers worldwide with stunning photos.
Seventeen million members download, share, store, and interact with tens of millions of digital images on Webshots. Free membership allows members to download any Webshots image to their computer and also upload and share their own images. Premium features, such as unrestricted downloads and advertisement-free browsing on Webshots, are available with the Webshots Unlimited service.
The Webshots imaging network consists of the following tools and services:
- WEBSHOTS GALLERY: thousands of professional images licensed from the world's top photographers. Members can browse specific topics such as "Adventure Sports" or "Nature Scenes," view featured photos in categories such as "Top Downloads" or "Highest Rated," or find specific photos with Webshots Photo Search. Gallery images can be downloaded into the Webshots Desktop for display as the user's wallpaper and screensaver. WEBSHOTS DAILY: brand-new photos and offers current news headlines, weather, and entertainment. Webshots is constantly adding new professional photos - two new photos every day and at least one new photo collection each week.
- WEBSHOTS MY PHOTOS: upload photos to personal albums so they can show off their new baby, highlight a recent vacation, or commemorate a special event. Using their personal photos, members can order prints, frames, and a variety of customized gifts, such as t-shirts, mugs, and mousepads. Brings people together by offering a variety of ways to share photos: members can email individual Photo eCards, send invitations to view entire albums, and can opt to list their albums publicly in the Webshots Community directory and Photo Search. Each member can express himself through a personal homepage of photo albums.
