With Berkleemusic, you can study what you want, when you want, with the recognized experts in contemporary music education. Learning streams include production, performance, music education, songwriting and business. You can participate in two ways:

With our Instructor-led Courses, you can master new skills, stay current in your profession, or explore personal areas of interest with Berklee faculty. You'll get one-on-one guidance from Berklee's renowned teachers, and learn with a community of like-minded musicians. Each course lasts 3-12 weeks.

Our Master Classes are a great way to keep growing and stay creative by tapping into the energy and expertise of successful musicians. With each segment of the When Music Works series, you'll get a 30-90 minute lesson on DVD or streaming video with top Berklee teachers, alumni and visiting artists.
How it Works

Berkleemusic provides a rich learning environment that's easy to fit into your schedule. It goes like this.

Select the course you want, and enroll on-line with a credit card.

Once you enroll, you'll get a customizable home page, your own portal to our vast online community. Use it to share information about yourself, track course progress and assignments, and join in discussions.

Each week, your instructor will post a new lesson. You can log on and work on the material anytime within that week. It should take around 2-3 hours each week to complete the work.

The lessons are media-rich, and filled with fun interactive learning activities. Projects and assignments provide practical, real-world experience as you move through the course.

As the course progresses, you'll form a community with your classmates and teacher. You can share ideas, collaborate on assignments, submit and critique each other's projects, and chat in real-time 24/7.

Once you complete a course, you'll receive a custom Berkleemusic course certificate to add to your resume and impress your less accomplished friends and family members.

  Your profile is the place to tell the community about yourself. Upload a portrait, and tell us who you are.

  Your home is your own private portal onto our site. Manage your profile from this page, and everything else that has to do with you.

  Our site offers a directory of all registered members. If you have a music industry business, get yourself listed! If you're a performer, tell everyone what instruments you play.
