Horrible! Old Info and they will harass u late by phone This service is total garbage. All the info is old and you will never be able to act on it. A house will be sold a month or two before hitting their web site. Then, when you cancel they will call you at 9pm on a Friday night to try to get your to come back. I tell them they should not bother someone at 9pm and they act as if I am the rude one. They will never get people to go back to their service by calling them at home at 9pm. Don't waste your time with them and make up your telephone number if you try their free trial.
RealtyTrac Rip Off This website is a true rip off. Not only does this website have inaccurate and outdated information, it also has serious flaws in it's cancellation process. I cancelled within a week of signing up. I am still being charged on my credit card (two months now). Now I can not cancel the charges because I am not a "registered member." Realty Trac will not recognize my emails because I am no longer a register member (even though I am being charged like one). I tried a live chat but was hung up upon as soon as I mentioned a problem with the bill. Please warn anyone who is considering this service!
How to cancel from Realty Trac I was looking for a home for my mother in a particular area. I noticed that they had a lot of homes in my area. So I signed up to get the sellers info on the foreclosures. The info was there for many but for some homes the info was not there. I think if some one whats try the site longer than a week go ahead, they had many homes in my area, but know how to cancel. To be fair I only used the site for a few days and changed our mind in the direction we wanted to go. Something like this could be forgotton. The automatic withdrawl of 39.99 a month can get expensive if you do not need the site anymore. I found that it was not so hard to cancel. I was sent a cancellation number. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF This company is a complete rip off. The homes listed do not reflect homes available. They are interested in populating their database, not supplying creditable information. You will not find a home to purchase using this website; the homes they list are sold or unavailable. This scam is no better than your average 419'er. As you can see, they are writing their own reviews as well.
realty trac lousy I have been a builder and realtor... realty trac has sent me on many empty searches which are slow, innacurate.. and many have expired in 2005
Not Worth The Money I signed up for the trial, unfortunately my agent was out of town for the week. So by the time she was able to get back to me my "Trial" period was over. I had my agent check on over 10 properties listed on the sight and all had been sold the month before I subscribed. I cancelled thinking that I would at leas get part of my fee back, instead I received an e-mail telling me I would have access to the site for the rest of the month. Big deal even as I am writing this they still have homes listed that was sold more than two months ago. My advise is don't waste your money.
GREAT SITE Only an idiot wouldn't know how to cancel via the net, or to just call the number listed. They were very helpful, and their agent program is the best. Plus it's only 29.95 for a month, so if you're going to freeload for 7 days and then cancel, don't be mad if you can't pick up a phone and call in to cancel. The site is great and has foreclosure property added daily, and great sales leads for agents. I've sold 23 homes so far using RealtyTrac. Great Program. Period.
Definitely needs improvement on their membership! (AND CANCELLATION POLICY!) While this is a good and valuable service, they trick you by a one-week cancelable membership and then make it impossible to cancel via internet!! This happened to me. I tried to cancel my membership before one week, and I went into a loop where they said I needed to input the CODE they supposedly sent (be email) (BUT NEVER SENT IT TO ME!!). Then, the wording of their cancelation policy makes it basically impossible to cancel without the "CODE". When you input your email address to have them send you your "CODE", it states it "Sent it" to your email address BUT THEN IT NEVER ARRIVES!!! I tried this several times, so I really am believing this is a scam to charge your credit card and to CONTINUE CHARGING YOUR CARD indefinitely! I'm complaining to my credit card company to get this charge REMOVED, but have only done so and hope it will be successful. But, this is a pain that shouldn't have to be done if these people at RealtyTrac were a little more HONEST in being able to make this happen. Is this a company owned by the MAFIA or something!? When I called their contact number, I never got a "real person". Yet! Signed: Dissatisfied in Hawaii!
